Oriel

Oriel for Mac

The Mac companion is the other half of Oriel: it shows your Mac's screen to the phone app, moves the pointer and types for you, and runs the assistant's models on the Mac. It lives in the menu bar and uses no account.

Requirements

Get the companion

The public build is being notarized with Apple. Until it is up here, the companion is available two ways:

  1. Testers: the build you were invited to, installed from the link in your invitation.
  2. Build it yourself: the source is public under the Apache-2.0 license at github.com/1ucian/oriel, with build steps in the README. The same code ships in the signed build.

When the notarized download is ready, it will be here as a disk image, and this page will say so with its version and date.

Install

  1. Open the disk image and drag Oriel to Applications, then open it. It appears in the menu bar.
  2. In Permissions & Diagnostics, grant Screen Recording and Accessibility in System Settings.
  3. On the Mac choose Pair iPhone or iPad; on the phone tap Scan the code on your Mac, then approve the phone on the Mac.

Questions or trouble: the support page covers setup, pairing and the assistant's models, or write to support@67enterprise.com.
